International Free Software Contest. The International Free Software Contest, also known as Trophées du Libre, is a competition that aims to give credit and reward to the work of individuals, companies and intitutions which contribute to development and enhancement of Free and Open Source software all around the world.

Schedule. Here is the schedule for the third edition:
- from 9 March 2006 to October 1st 2006: apply !
- November 2006: announcement of the nominees
- November 2006, the 30th: award ceremony

New in 2006. Students are involved in the competition, with the creation of the Junior Free Software Awards, to reward free developments made by students from higher education establishments from all around the globe.

Who can apply. Computer, Technical and Purchasing Managers, project managers, network designers intranet/extranet, developers, multimedia managers... coming from companies, public services, from the educational world, from the Free Community and from university can apply to this context.
